This gathering is an invitation to study practices of mediation and accountability in self-organised environments. Drama happened for the first time in March 2025 and is part of the research of PAF´s Mediation working group, which looks for ways to move through the practical, emotional, and at times intense challenges that arise in the transient collectivities that make PAF. While PAF will be the main focus of this gathering, we hope that the fruits of this meeting will be of use to other spaces and projects that want to go beyond the twin temptations of cancel culture and carceral logic. In this sense, we heartily invite people from other collectives and initiatives to join us, share their experiences, and take the chance to un/learn and study together.
PAF users have always been negotiating power, trauma, and opacity in various ways, experimenting with a wide range of invented and borrowed methods to do so. After many years of trying and adjusting the tools and models of operation, Drama emerged from an urgency for collective reflection and reinvention. By opening this dedicated space, we aim to embrace slowness, imagination, and play as methods for learning.
For Drama 1 we invited professionals to share their practices and theories around mediation and accountability with us, with a particular focus on transformative justice.
For Drama 2, we want to focus on undertaking a collective study to digest the knowledge we gathered in Drama 1 in March 2025.
While doing this, we also want to continue to broaden our vocabularies and add to our toolkits. We will do this by allocating some days to training by mediation practicioners as well as self-organised sharing of practices from anyone attending. Time will also be dedicated to developing PAF specific protocols to propose to decision makers.
We propose:
Working through material from Drama 1, including Creative Interventions Workbook: A Short and Practical Guide to Stop Interpersonal Violence by Creative Interventions CIC, a collective initiated in Oakland.
Two sessions led by practicioners from Organizing Otherwise, a collective that works against the logics of individualisation and privatisation of wellbeing by centering reciprocity and care
Working through textual material by Carly Boyce, Meenadchi and various studies on failed and successful accountability processes. If you have texts that you would like to share, please bring them.
Non-verbal mediation exercises of our own and your own inventions: silent accountability, dance readings, screaming workshop, puppet-making, any other somatic practices and experiments from those attending

will take place on 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9th of December, 2025 (arrival 3rd – departure 9th). Participants are invited to come for the whole gathering. To come earlier or stay longer is of course possible. The meeting will have a capacity of 45 participants.
PAF has 52 bedrooms. We have sheets and towels, duvets and pillows in the house for you to use ☾･

Sliding Scale Fees: PAF has implemented a sliding scale payment system as part of a more extensive effort at making PAF more accessible to persons that are at the intersection of racialization and precarisation. All contributions above 18 euro per night will go to the Mattress fund.
PAF will not ask you about your financial situation, you will evaluate the price to pay by yourself - all of this can be figured out onsite.

Food
Kitchen will be coordinated by a chef and there will be three meals a day prepared with everybody’s help. Contribution for food is 16euro/day. If you have a specific diet please let us know with your booking.
